Stress Hurts,
But Yoga Nidra Helps

A PRACTICE OF DEEP RELAXATION TO REBALANCE YOUR LIFE

Recognize Stress

The vast majority of us now live in a world of non-stop communication and connectivity, and as soon as you’ve achieved one goal, you’re straight onto the next one.

This, combined with being surrounded by the bright lights of small screens, can make you stressed and anxious.

How do you know if you are suffering from stress? Perhaps you feel:

  • Tight chested and short of breath
  • Irritable and short tempered
  • Worried more often than you’d like
  • A sense of dread
  • Heavy; you’re carrying the weight of the world
  • Tired — and yet, you find it hard to sleep

    Your Feelings Deserve Respect

While you may not want to focus on negative feelings, pretending that stress isn’t affecting you can have serious long term effects on your wellbeing, and on the people close to you.

Evidence shows that feeling stressed for extended periods of time can weaken your immune system and cause physical illness, and stress can be a trigger for more serious mental health issues too, including depression and anxiety disorders.

In the short term, feeling stressed out can cause problems in your personal relationships and in your working life. You’re likely to be irritable and challenges or conflicts that you’d usually be able to manage without much drama become a huge deal.

Imagine a friend says something insensitive. You’re stressed; your heart is already racing and you really need a good night’s sleep. Instead of explaining to your friend that they’ve hurt you and giving them a chance to understand, you lash out and hurt them back.

Your stress may not be your fault, but it is your responsibility to find the support and space you need to lower your stress levels and equip yourself for the challenges of daily life.

Ignoring stress is never a good idea: respect the stress, and it won't hold you back.

        Create Peace With Yoga Nidra

I’m glad you’re here. If you’re feeling stressed, starting a Yoga Nidra practice is one of the most powerfully healing things you can do for yourself.

And because I know you’re busy, I’ve created this free audio download so that you can be guided through your practice in your own home, and in your own time.

Yoga Nidra requires nothing but you, your body, a quiet space and an open mind. All you have to do is listen and mentally follow the instructions.

The benefits you can expect to experience include:

          • Slower heart rate and easier breathing, as your parasympathetic nervous system kicks in
          • A sense of peace that comes with entering into a state of deep relaxation
          • Renewed enthusiasm for life
          • A feeling of connection with yourself
          • A heightened ability to interact mindfully with others
          • Becoming more efficient and productive
          • Less stiffness and muscle pain, as your nervous system won’t be preparing to ‘fight or fly’
          • Balance: hormonally, emotionally and mentally

            A Little About Chetana

I love to travel, immersing myself in diverse and spiritually rich cultures, as I deepen my practice of yoga and meditation.

It all started back in my 20s when I bought a one-way ticket to Eastern Europe and beyond.

I travelled through Africa, the Middle East and Asia, often well off the beaten track. Oh, what stories I have to share!

Five years later I returned to Australia where I found myself seeking more from life.

I began to work and study in Outdoor Leadership and Guiding where I enjoyed leading people on outdoor adventures throughout Australia.

However, something was still missing, that elusive thing called “happiness”. Oh, and a third car accident I’d just been involved in, yes three under my belt, this really got me thinking, WHY?

I began to study metaphysics and spiritual healing, and it was only when I discovered yoga and meditation that I found an inner peace and contentment that I had never quite experienced in life.

Before I knew it I had immersed myself in a life of yogic philosophy and lifestyle for the better part of ten years, living within an ashram environment in Australia, India, and a Buddhist centre in Nepal.

Now, all these years later, I’m living my dream -- drawing on all my experiences and sharing these wisdom teachings through classes, courses and retreat in spectacular countries with others.

              Retreats like no other! 😍

              Warm regards
